If I had a time machine

If I had a time machine, I would go back and undo some of the more embarrassing things that I might have said or done. I mean, if you would have known that no one would laugh at that joke, you wouldn’t have told it, right? And if you had seen the video camera, you would not have been picking your nose. Or, there was that time when… Well, you get the picture. I would use my time machine to go and warn myself about embarrassing moments.

The I look forward most to this year is my 13 birthday. Thirteen means I am a teen. It means I can wear makeup, and it means I get to go to Ohio for a week to see my grandparents. I also look forward to my youth group’s retreat, being an eighth grader, and the start of the Rye theater play season. I have a lot to look forward too this year.

My greatest accomplishment in 2010 was starting a book log. Every time I finish a new book I, write it down on my book log. The other day I counted how many books I have read since the start of the school year. I have read 22. That’s pretty neat. That is my greatest accomplishment of 2010.

Count your blessings

I was at a funeral today. Looking around I noticed how many people were there. He had a lot of friends, I thought. Then I thought about how many friends I have and how lucky I am to have them. When I got home, I made this up.

Count your blessings, one ,two,three.

For ma, for pa, for you, for me.

Count your  blessings, four, five, six.

Some things to eat, some things to fix.

Count your blessings, the number seven

Thank God we will go to heaven.

Count your blessings, eight, nine, ten.

So that we may start again.

Snow day!

I really love the snow. It’s one of the reasons winter is my favorite season. Today It snowed almost all day! I was really excited. It snowed so much that we had a snow day. Caleb stayed home from School, we slept in late, made snow ice cream, and I read. Snow days are the best!

Talk or text?

If given the choice , I pick talk. It is so much easier to under stand.  One time, my friend and I were passing notes, and she signed of with g2g, ttyl. [Got to go, talk to you later.] She could have just said bye. I think if you have something to say that is important, you can take the time to call the person you want to talk.

ohhhh.

This after noon, my dad told me an idea for a blog post would be an ‘Aha’ moment.  For a full minute I stood in the kitchen looking like an idiot. When I asked my dad what an aha moment was, he said I was about to have one. I just stood there.  Then, like lighting, It hit me. Ohhhh…

Family movie night

For my family, movie night is a part of the week. We have netflix, so when we get a new movie, that night we hurry up to get the dishes done so we can watch it. It’s a lot of fun to. We all sit there in our chairs and watch whatever. We laugh, we sometimes cry, and at the end we all go to bed. Family movie night is really cool!

I love you

One other thing I enjoy doing is writing. Every now and then I’ll get an idea and write it down. Today I was having a kind of  a bad day and I thought of this poem.

You smile at me, I drop my face. I cannot seem to meet your gaze. You lift my head and dry my tears, You draw me close and say,

I love you, I love you, I love you.

To meet your gaze, I lift my face. You smile at me and say,

I love you, I love you, I love you.

I love you too.
