OK, since the year 2012 is coming up, I thought I would post about 5 times the world was supposed to end and didn’t.
1) Jan 1, 1000 A.D
The coming of the new millennium made almost everyone nervous. some pilgrims even sold all of there stuff thinking that it help them earn points with God.
2) Many dates in 1843 & 1844
A preacher named William Miller studied the Bible and thought that the world would end between March 21 1843 & March 21 1844. When nothing happened, he pushed the date back to April 19, 1844.
3) March 10, 1982
On this day, all the planets were on the same side off the sun. The “Jupiter effect,” was supposed to cause every natural disaster imaginable, yet here we are.
4) Jan 1, 2000
Again, the turn of the millennium made everybody jumpy.
5)June 6,2006
When written in short form, this date looks like 6/6/06. The number 666 is the sign for the devil and many religious sects thought that it was a sign that the world was ending.
Well, the world hasn’t ended yet. if the world does end, please tell me so that I can blog about it. Merry Christmas!!!

Teleporting.

If people could teleport, things would be so much easier. We would not have to worry about traffic or being late. We could say things like ‘ Beam me up scotti’ and ‘ I’ll be there in a second’, and mean it! It would be just like Star Trek! If I could teleport, I would go to the virgin islands and be back for dinner. Then, after dinner, I would go to France to say hi to a friend and pick up breakfast for tomorrow and some of those cool hats for my dads birthday party.And, to top it off, I’d be back by seven.

my oven

The one piece of technology I could not live without, is my oven. I’m serious. I know it sounds weird but I need my oven. I love to bake. How am I supposed to do that without an oven?How would chocolate chip cookies taste if they were not baked? An oven can also be used as a source of heat. I cannot live without my oven.

My first favorite sound is the sound of thunder. I like it because it makes my heart pound. The way it makes everything rattle if it gets to close is the coolest thing ever! Sometimes, it gets so loud, I jump when I hear it! I love that feeling of fright when it gets really loud.

The next best sound in the world, is the sound of rain. It’s so calming. I could fall asleep to the sound of rain. An other I like it is because when you get the sound of rain, you almost always get the sound of thunder. Rain also sounds like spring time. I love the way rain puts me to sleep.

Living forever

Sometimes I wonder what it would be like to live forever. I mean, how cool would it be to see the start of a new century? Or millineum? To see who has the most power in 3000 would be soooo cool. You could win the world record for oldest person alive every single year! You could see your great-grandchildren, and their great-grandchildren, and their great-grandchildren!

However,there are downsides for living forever. You would get board with your life, you would have seen everything there is to see. Imagine living through generations of funerals. That would suck. Sure you get to see your great-great-great-granddaughter born, but you also have to see her die, too. After 200 or 300 years, you would want to die.

If given the choice, I would not want to live forever.

my laugh

The sound of my laugh is really funny. When I hear it, I laugh even harder. My laugh is very high pitched and girlie. When I laugh really hard, It sounds like a witches cackle. Sometimes it gets annoying. But it is still really fun to listen to. Hahahahaha!

An elegy on madam Blaize

I bet you guys are getting sick of poetry.

Good people all,with one accord,lament for madam Blaize,Who never wanted one good word- from those who spoke her praise.

The needy seldom passed her door, and always found her kind; She freely lent to all the poor- who left a pledge behind.

She strove the neighborhood to please, with manner wondrous winning: She never followed wicked ways-Unless when she was sinning.

At church, in silks and satins new, With hoop of monstrous size, She never slumbered in her pew, but when she closed her eyes.

This is not the full poem. But it is one of my favorites.

Just an other little poem.

She went to town, that fateful day, and never home came she.

She met a man, down in the town, and never home came she.

She followed him, his words persuasive, and never home came she.

She was killed, that fateful day, and never home came she.

This is a poem I wrote that has the same kind of theme as a poem called, The sands o’ Dee. It is one of my favorite poems.
